Interagency Training Grants Announced

The "Creating Community-Based Dementia Resource Ambassador Program" is one of four
projects funded.
The IDRPP’s Interagency Outreach and Training Initiative (IOTI) recently announced the projects it will fund for the next project period, from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028. Each of the projects listed will receive $50,000 per year over the three-year funding period.
Priorities for this funding cycle were to address knowledge and skill gaps and provide training to direct care staff, people with disabilities, their families, and volunteers supporting people with disabilities.
Here are the programs funded:
Creating Community-Based Dementia Resource Ambassador Program: Sustainable Support for Aging into Disability for People with Dementia and their Caregivers. PI: Beth Fauth, Utah State University.
Enhancing Home-Based Care and Transitional Support for Individuals with Disabilities in Utah. PI: Matt Hansen, Homecare and Hospice Association of Utah.
Improving Access to Mental Health Care and Individual Wellbeing for Individuals with Disabilities Through a State-Wide Training Approach. PI: Ty Aller, USU.
Utah’s Multicultural Disability Network and Training (MulDiNet 2.0): Strengthening Community Integration & Practices Surrounding Complex Disability Context. PI: Eduardo Ortiz, USU.
About IOTI
IOTI is a collaborative effort between IDRPP and the Utah Coordinating Council for Persons with Disabilities. The coordinating council includes the directors of seven disability-related agencies in Utah’s state government, plus a family representative.
