JoLynne Lyon

JoLynne is a communications specialist for the Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice. She maintains media contacts, edits the blog, and helps manage the website. She produces, writes and disseminates information on IDRPP programs, and she supervises and/or coordinates with other communicators within the institute. 

For the Utah Assistive Technology Program, she does public relations, marketing and web content development.

JoLynne has experience in written storytelling including blogging and magazine article writing; editing; web content design; social media; pitching traditional media; creating radio ad campaigns; print ad creation; podcasting; radio storytelling and video scripting.

Before coming to IDRPP she gained eight years of experience as a reporter and feature writer, and five years of experience writing and editing for government entities. She started working at the Institute for Disability in January 2008. She graduated with a BS in political science and journalism from Utah State University.
