Biography

I was born and raised in Southern California, and I moved to Utah during the summer of 2021. I have a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I began my career in the field of Early Childhood Education in 1999. My journey began in a Montessori setting, which I am so grateful for, as it helped me to develop a unique appreciation for young children’s curiosity and potential. After six years in the Montessori setting, I went on to two years of work with Head Start, followed by twelve years with California State Preschool. During this time, I was fortunate to experience many professional development opportunities, which included establishing professional learning communities, partnering with families and honoring culture, and implementing the Pyramid Model for Supporting Social Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children. These opportunities have fueled my passion for supporting children, families, and caregivers, which I am fortunate to do in my work as an Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant. Just three years ago, I seized the opportunity to follow my passion by relocating to Salt Lake City and taking on this role at The Children’s Center Utah. I am honored to be a part of such a beautiful organization, dedicated to the well-being of young children and those who care for them.
