Our Team

The Public & School Partnership (PSP) includes overarching support staff and PSP Vista members and site supervisors.

Public & School Partnership Main Office

Located in Logan, Utah at Utah State University, the PSP main office provides support and training to PSP VISTA members and Site Supervisors. They are also in charge of all hiring and budgeting, and also coordinate national days of service events.

Rosaline Hill | Director
Responsibilities: As the PSP Project Director, Roseline oversees grant writing and budgeting, reporting, placements and partnerships, university and federal processes, employee training and supervision, and other responsibilities relate to effectively managing a nonprofit organization.

About: Roseline Hill is originally from Cape Town, South Africa and moved to the U.S. in 2020 to finish her degree in Healthcare Administration at BYU-Idaho. She began her career as a volunteer for a women's rights organization, Women on Farms Project, based in South Africa where she learned the value of community service and empowering and building the capacity of grassroots community structures to enable them to advocate for their own rights. In 2005 she was employed as the Program Officer and later Program Manager / Coordinator for the Socio-Economic Development Program focusing on women's rights and adressing human rights violations on commercial farms. She has extensive experience in donor liaison, proposal writing, report writing, case management, mentoring and support of community structures, advocacy and lobbying, networking with stakeholders and partner organizations, workshop design and facilitation.

Jessica Jeppesen | Program Coordinator
Responsibilities: Jessica coordinates many.  of the functions that help PSP run as a VISTA project, including: supporting sites and VISTAs, onboarding VISTA members, exiting VISTA members, navigating university and federal processes and systems, VAD development, VISTA recognition, reporting and time card intake and tracking, and scheduling site visits.

About: Jessica earned her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and an Associate's degree in Child Development from Utah State University. In 2016, she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member, supporting Native American students, K-12 in Cache and Box Elder school districts. Currently, she is the Program Coordinator for The Public and School Partnership AmeriCorps VISTA program. Outside of work, Jessica loves reading and spending time with her husband, dog, and three cats.

Austin Draper | VISTA Leader
Responsibilities: Austin performs social media outreach, staff coordination, conflict resolution, member development, and event planning.

About: Austin is a Logan native and local self published poet. He entered the national service scene in 2023 with a one-year VISTA term to assist those in the disability community at the Cache Employment and Training Center, then in 2024 began his service as a VISTA Leader with the Public & School Partnership.

School-based Americorps Vista Members & Sites

VISTA members at PSP's school-based sites engage in various service activities, ranging from securing food and other basic needs resources for students, to coordinating grade- and attendance-tracking systems, to developing systemic interventions to support students and their families, and much more!

Joshua Thompson, Bridger Elementary School
Bio: Brian is a BSW (bachelor's of social work) student, and a first year Americorps VISTA member. He is currently placed at Green Canyon High School, where he works to address numerous social and academic needs, and manages both the food pantry and tutoring center. Brian enjoys evening walks with his dog, and watching the X Files.

Community-based VISTA Members & Sites

Located at multiple sites across Northern Utah, PSP's community-based VISTA members serve in non-profit organizations across northern Utah. These VISTAs focus on a wide variety of service activities. They ensure the sustainability of organizations and programs; recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers; secure funding and partnerships; develop new and improve upon existing programs; increase outreach and awareness; develop and implement new programs; plan and implement annual events; and much more!

Melinda Thornton, UATP
Melinda is a returning AmeriCorps member, though she is new to the AmeriCorps VISTA program. A decade ago, she served two years with Salt Lake County's national program at YWCA. She has a bachelor's and masters of social work and loves working with people. In Melinda's spare time, she loves playing with her service dog, Raven. She can't wait to meet any and all of her fellow PSP VISTAs.

Kenner Mecham, UATP
Kenner is 23 years old. He is from a small town in northern Utah. He is going back to school to become a computer engineer. He enjoys working with his hands and with computers. He also enjoys gaming on his PC and building PCs. His dream job is designing and building technology for making life easier. Kenner enjoys working for AmeriCorps and loks forward to a great year here.
