Early Accessible Education Materials (AEM) ECHO

This ECHO session will empower participants with the knowledge and confidence to use Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) and Assistive Technology (AT) to strengthen the systems that serve parents and providers of young children. Participants will explore how to integrate AEM into learning materials—whether newly created or adapted—so that children with disabilities can access content simultaneously and in the same manner as their peers. While AEM refers to the materials themselves, AT encompasses the tools that enable access to those materials. This session will clarify the relationship between AEM and AT, highlighting their distinct roles and how they work together.

Participants from Parent Centers, Part C & B programs, and Assistive Technology Programs will gain practical skills to support families and children with disabilities and will broaden their understanding of AT and its intersection with AEM to promote access in learning environments.
These sessions are FREE for all participants.
Sessions will be held the 4th Tuesday of every month.
1:00 - 2:30 PM MST via Zoom video conferencing technology.
