ASL Interpreter Mentor

Dustin Bassett is nationally certified as an American Sign Language interpreter (NIC-Master and NAD IV) and has been professionally interpreting since 1996. The scope of  his expience and expertise includes working within the following systems: medical, mental health, educational, corporate, legal, Video Relay, and Video Remote Interpretation settings. He currently is an American Sign Language Interpreting Mentor for the IDRPP's IMET program

Dustin is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in private practice, specializing in working with the d/Deaf and Hard-of-hearing community. He works with adults as well as children 2-18 years of age (both hearing and d/Deaf). One of his passions is researching, reading about and utilizing Relational Frame Theory and the associated Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT) model.
