Jacob Penrose

Physical Therapist

Jake Penrose DPT, CWS I was raised here in beautiful Cache Valley. My family and I love it here where we are near grandparents, good friends and neighbors. I graduated from Sky View High School where I was active in football, basketball and soccer. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Detroit, Michigan. There I learned all about Red Wings hockey and love them to this day! I was married soon after and then started my long journey through school. I graduated from Utah State University then Idaho State University with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I practiced at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in the acute care and TCU settings for 6 years. While there I specialized in wound care with the American Board of Wound Management and earned an advanced clinical instructor credential from the American Physical Therapy Association. I have been in the skilled nursing and home health settings since returning to the valley in 2011. I truly enjoy my profession and assisting others but my greatest joy is my family, my sweet wife and 5 children. My interests and hobbies include fishing, hiking, camping, and hunting. I have enjoyed coaching soccer at Sky View High School and my son’s teams. I enjoy serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in various capacities and have come to love and appreciate the wonderful people of Cache Valley and surrounding communities. The best part of my career…is the opportunity I have to serve others in such a meaningful way.
