About the Sport

Frame running is an adaptive sport that enables individuals with mobility challenges to run using a three-wheeled frame with a seat and handlebars for support. Designed for people with coordination and balance impairments, the device allows athletes to move their legs freely while maintaining balance and stability. The sport promotes cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and independence, offering participants a chance to compete, train, and enjoy physical activity in a way that traditional running does not always permit.

Frame running is a Paralympic track and field event, but frame runners are also used for recreation, fitness training and other competitive events.
