R. Elle Smith

R. Elle Smith is pursuing a PhD in Technical Communication and Rhetoric at Utah State University. Their previous research has focused on the hidden expectations and accessibility concerns of academic attendance policies. Elle is particularly interested in how policies both help and hinder accessibility within academia, the workplace, and the medical field. Currently, they are conducting research on the current standing of ADA compliance training in public health departments in Utah. As a technical writer for the accessibility and health project, they are developing new training materials to aid in ADA compliance across the state.
