Tressa Johnston

Tressa Johnston is a physical therapist and the Associate Director of the Service Division at the Institute of Disability Research, Policy and Practice. With over 30 years of  experience she specializes in pediatrics and neuro-rehabilitation physical therapy. Tressa earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University ot Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).

Tressa has worked in a variety of settings including hippotherapy while living in Texas. She has spent nearly 20 years working IDEA Part C Early Intervention. She is actively involved in multiple projects focusing on building partnerships and collaborations to foster          "On Time Mobility" and adapted recreation through Frame Running.

During her spare time she loves spending time outdoors with her family, camping, fishing paddle boarding, snowmobiling and traveling.
