CMHP Practicum

Community-based education about evidence-based resources

The goal the Center for Mental Health Promotion (CMHP) is to promote the mental health and well-being of individuals with disabilities through high-quality, community-engaged research and training.

This practicum experience centers on sharing evidence-based resources to improve wellbeing through community-based work. Practicum students do this through collaboration with community groups, presentations, and social media outreach.

As part of the practicum experience, students will also have an opportunity to choose a personal goal that can help prepare them for the field after graduation.

As a practicum student you can expect to:

  • Learn about digital mental health interventions (DMHI) that improve wellbeing.
  • Share evidence-based programs and resources that promote wellbeing via social
    media and presentations.
  • Progress on a personal goal that benefits your future.
