About Us

Our Mission

The Center for Mental Health Promotion, housed within the Institute for Disability Research, Policy, and Practice seeks to promote the mental health and wellbeing of individuals with disabilities through high-quality, community-engaged research, training, and technical assistance. By using a strengths-based lens and working collaboratively with the communities we serve, we strive to create accessible, acceptable, and effective projects that address a variety of issues that affect the mental health and wellbeing of individuals with disabilities across Utah and the United States.  

The Center for Mental Health Promotion is comprised of multi-disciplinary teams that are led by IDRPP staff, but commonly include academic and community-partners.  The below list highlights teams that execute our current projects:
