Katie Emmett

Biography

Katie is a Training and Development Specialist at the Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice (IDRPP) at Utah State University. Katie has worked in the disability field for over nine years. Her experience includes roles in education, respite, day program services, and job coaching. Katie has worked on multiple projects at the IDRPP including, the Transition Collaboration project for post-high programs with the University of Minnesota, the Home and Community-Based Services and Community-Based Instruction project, and the Intermediate Care Facilities Transition to Home and Community-Based Services project. Katie’s interests include postsecondary transition, adult services, and community integration. She is passionate about creating equitable communities for people with disabilities.
