ACRE Employment Specialist Training

The ACRE Employment Specialist Training is designed to provide individuals with the requisite skills for understanding and delivering employment supports to individuals with disabilities. The training is competency focused and individuals will obtain the knowledge and skills to develop validated strategies to meet the diverse integrated employment needs of individuals with disabilities.

The ACRE Employment Specialist Training is a 40-hour hybrid training designed for Employment Services Professionals with five corresponding training modules. Trainees complete twenty hours of live instruction (online or in-person) along with twenty hours of homework assignments that must be completed on their own time. The course typically takes trainees five weeks to complete.

Registration Requirements
Registration for the ACRE Employment Specialist Training is required. The cost is $300.00.
ACRE Supported Employment Training Completion Policy

To maintain the quality and integrity of the ACRE certification process, all participants must complete the training and required assignments within six (6) months from the first day of training.

  • Participants who do not complete the course within this timeframe will be required to re-register and pay the full course fee to obtain the certificate.
  • This policy applies regardless of how much of the course has already been completed.
  • Extensions may only be granted in exceptional circumstances and must be approved in writing by the training team prior to the six-month deadline.
