Lisa A. Rock graduated from Utah State Univeristy in 1989, with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education with areas of concentration in Preschool Special Education (Birth to age 5), and Special Education (K-12+). She has licensure endorsements to teach students with mild/moderate and severe disabilties. In addition, she has an Early Intervention Level 2 Credential through State of Utah, Baby Watch program. She is a licensed Play Project Consultant with expertise in working with young children who have been diagnosed with Autism.
Lisa has spent the majority of her career working with children with special needs from birth to five years of age. She has worked in public educational settings having taught children in both severe special education classrooms, as well as in integrated preschool settings. In addition, she has worked for both public and non-profit Early Intervention and Early Head Start programs. Lisa's experiences have given her a rich understanding of child development in the areas of communication, social-emotional development, fine and gross motor skill development and cognitive processes.
Lisa completed (Spring 2019) her second Bachelors degree in Communication Disorders and Deaf Education through Utah State University.
Lisa is currently the Autism Specialist and Developmental Specialist for Box Elder County service area within the Up to 3, Early Intervention program.
