Juan Carlos Vazquez earned his bachelor Degree in Education with a minor in Physical Education from Weber State University in December of 1999. He completed his Master degree in Second Language Teaching with an emphasis in Multicultural Education and Second Language Acquisition at Utah State University in May of 2004. Juan Carlos is currently a Project Specialist for the Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center (MPRRC), a branch of the IDRPP. He provides techical assistance in special education to North Dakota and Puerto Rico. Also, he serves a the Diversity/Multicultural Program Coordinator at the Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice (IDRPP). One of the main responsibilities is to provide training in the area of cultural and linguistic competency to service providers. Juan Carlos develops effective tools, resources, training and support mechanisms to help other IDRPP employees address ethic and cultural differences in the various communities in which they work.  

Juan Carlos and his wife Wendy have three boys, JC Jr., Julian and Diego they enjoy very much playing and watching soccer, traveling, shopping, and all sorts of family activities.
