My name is Tina Stuart. I have lived most of my life in Utah, with Tooele being my home for the past 18 years. I am the Tooele Youth Life Skills/ Transition Specialist and office manager at Utah Independent Living Center. I have 22 plus years of experience teaching people with disabilities life skills and independence. I received this experience with my husband, in my own home with one of my three daughters, and I also have a son. I never thought that I would be putting real-life experiences into action by helping others advocate for themselves and becoming more independent.
I enjoy supporting my family in whatever adventures life takes us, which often include on the side of a high school track, at a cross-country meet, or at a Utah State Rugby match (for my daughter and son-in-law), or just playing games with the extra people that my children bring home. I enjoy vacationing with my family and spending as much time together as possible. I am happy to be part of the Partners in Disability Research team and look forward to continuing to learn and meeting all of you.
