Kathy Self is the Youth Program Director for the Utah Independent Living Center (UILC).  She has been with UILC for over 15 years.   She supervises a variety of programs that focus on self-advocacy, independent living skills and employment for transitioning youth in Salt Lake, Tooele, Park City and Summit Co. areas.  She is passionate about her work at UILC because of her personal and professional experience with people who have disabilities, including in her immediate family.  She comes from a belief that all people with disabilities deserve the opportunity to live the most independent life possible.  She has worked and volunteered in various capacities in the disabled community for over 25 years.
