Meet the National Intervener and Advocate Association (NIAA) Leadership Team

Since 2013 the National Intervener and Advocate Association (NIAA) has been an organization of, by, and for interveners.  The Leadership Team has always been comprised of Intervener Specialists for the Deafblind (ISDB) who volunteer their time and effort towards the recognition and empowerment of interveners around the country.  Many thanks go to the current members of the Leadership Team (below) who have served a combined total of over 25 years.

The Leadership Team has been involved in a wide variety of activities including but not limited to:  presenting at workshops and conferences, organizing and conducting webinars for interveners around the country, representing interveners on advisory councils, contributing to intervener journal articles and policy documents, collaborating on establishing a standardized ASL sign for interveners, and being actively involved in legislative efforts to recognize and elevate the intervener practice.
